Ahar Archaeological Museum is one of the most amazing heritage sites of Udaipur. Here you can see Ahar Cenotaphs(royal cenotaphs). There are 19 chhatris(domed shaped Pavillion) that commemorate the 19 maharajas who were cremated here. The site also has more than 250 cenotaphs of the Maharajas Of Mewar. This archaeological museum also houses antiques, sculptures, coins earthen, pots terracotta toys, stone weights, animal figures, balls, seals belonging to 1st century B.C. and iron objects. The metal statue of Lord Buddha that dates back to the 10th century and image of god Surya(sun god)are among the most notable exhibits here. It also has a small but beautiful temple situated right in the middle of a pond.

The evidence shows that the existence of ahar museum is dated back to 1700 B.C. The Maharajas Of Mewar were cremated here.
