ABOUT US

The Lokmanya Tilak Teachers Education College began in 1966 has done the excellent work in training teachers as such the college has produced 9000 graduate teachers and 1000 teachers qualified with M.Ed. and Ph.d. The college has acquired its reputation at the national level by getting award of ‘A’ grade (7 stars) by the National Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college is also providing the only one course of its own type at national level i.e. B.Ed. (Child Development) recognized by National Council of Teacher Education. Well qualified faculty and high quality of research work are the main attraction of the faculty of this Deemed-to-be University.

Mission and goals
The institution works on the mission to prepare lokmanya, value oriented, dynamic prospective teachers who can serve efficiently at all levels of school education through inside and outside class activities at different school situation.
To fulfill this mission, it has set the following goals:

• To prepare competent and committed school teachers.
• To develop sense of social responsibility in would be teachers.
• To impart skills of working with the community.
• To impart education and skill to prepare teacher who can efficiently take the responsibility of developing cognative, cognative and psychomotor aspects of the personality of children.
