ABOUT SARASWATI COLLEGE OF NURSING
The college is a pioneer institute in the field of nursing education offering a B.Sc. (Nursing) & Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) program. It is managed by professionals under “Saraswati Education & Health Society Udaipur”, a registered society under the Rajasthan Registration Act 1958 (bearing registration No. 10/UDR/2005-06) working in the field of education. The college has been recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi, Government of Rajasthan, and is affiliated to Rajasthan University of Health Science, Jaipur. This society also running GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery) programs and determines to provide good nursing education and to build good nursing professionals.
COURSES OFFERED
GRADUATE COURSES
1. M.Sc. Nursing:
Seat capacity= 20 seats /year
Duration= 2 years course
Eligibility=
The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife of equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
The minimum education requirements shall be the passing of B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
The candidate should have undergone in B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing in an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
UNDER-GRADUATE COURSES
1. GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery course):
Seat capacity= 40 seats /year
Duration= 42 months course
Eligibility=
The candidate should have passed 12th Standard (10+2) Examination from the RBSE/ CBSE or other recognized Board in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science)
Age should not be less than 17 years on 31st Dec of the admission year.
The maximum age for a male is 28 years and for a female is 34 years.
2. B.Sc. Nursing:
Seat capacity= 60 seats / year
Duration= 2 – 4 Years course
Eligibility=
The Candidate should have passed 12th Standard (10+2) Examination from the RBSE/CBSE or other recognized Board, consisting of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English and has obtained marks not less than 50% in these subjects (45% for SC/ST candidates).
Age should not be less than 17 years on 31st Dec of admission year.
Maximum age for male is 25 years and for female is 28 years.
3. Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing:
Seat capacity= 30 seats / year
Duration= 2 Years course
Eligibility=
The candidate should have done GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery) diploma from any recognized Council.
Age should not be less than 17 years on 31st Dec. of admission year.
