Swaroop Sagar Lake is built by Maharana Swaroop Singh Ji. The lake is built to maintain the flood-like situation and to provide high water levels to their adjoining lakes. But post-1999, the formation of artificial lakes was banned in Udaipur and the nearby areas of the lake were declared as no construction zone.
