Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Park is one of the beautiful parks of Udaipur at the hillock of Dudhtalai and near to pichola lake. It is popular as it is Rajasthan’s first musical fountain park and popular among the tourists as well as localities.

The Park provides the spectacular view of Lake Pichola and charming sunset view.It is well known as Sunset viewpoint. Sunset looks so beautiful from here as it looks like clouds come floating into the lap of Lake Pichola as no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add colour to sunset sky. Park is rarely crowded and plenty of peace and quiet, spending a couple of hours here is quite easy to do.

Structure

Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Park consists of green gardens, shrubs and a mesmerizing environment of peace and quiet. There is also a statue of Pandit Deendayal as the park is made in the memory of him. Every evening, there is a musical fountain show which attracts the people as well as children. Small rides like see-saw, slides etc are there for children to enjoy and relax at the hillock. As it is top of the hillock, fresh air can calm you from the shore of the city.

History

Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Park is developed by Urban Improvement Trust (UIT) of Udaipur. The park is inaugurated by Rajani Dangi, the former Mayor of Udaipur city on 14 October 2004.

Manikya Lal Verma Garden
It is also known as Doodth Talai Garden constructed in the year 1995 by Nagar Parishad (Municipal Council) Udaipur and was named after Manikya Lal Verma( Former Chief Minister of Rajasthan ). The garden consists of stairs and end at white stone idol goddess Karni Mata Temple.

Ropeway(Mansapurna Karni Mata Ropeway)
It provides the tourist attraction for the journey from dudh Talai Lake to Karni Mata Temple. It is the first ropeway of Rajasthan that offers 4-minute ride at the height of 500 meters and runs over a fixed-grip mono cable.This ride is adventurous and joyful as it provides the panoramic view of beautiful City including Lake Pichola, Capturing City Palace , Sajjangarh Fort and many other places. This is a worth ride to see the alluring beauty of Udaipur.

Lake Pichola
It is an artificial freshwater lake, an oldest and one of the largest lakes of Udaipur. Lake Pichola means “the backyard”. The beauty of the lake, surrounded by the Aravali hills, the picturesque images of the monuments on the water and the lush green surroundings make this place worth visiting. Rainwater is the main source to fill this lake and when there is more water in the lake, it attracts a lot of Indian and Foreign tourists.
